What is preventive care?
Preventive care includes regular oral exams, cleanings and fluoride treatments by a dental professional twice a year. It also includes oral cancer screenings and X-rays to deeply examine teeth and bones. Dental professionals should also provide tips for improving your oral hygiene.
How much will this cost?
Most dental insurance plans cover most or all of the costs related to our services. If you are uninsured, the cost is determined by our sliding fee scale, which lowers the cost of care based on how much money a person makes and how many people are in their family. This helps make healthcare more affordable for people with lower incomes.
How can I prevent cavities?
Cavities can be prevented by brushing in the morning and at night everyday. Additionally, adults and children should floss daily and avoid soda, juice, candy and other sugary items when possible. Snacking on crunchy vegetables and consuming water is a healthier option. Children who get thirsty before bed should be offered water rather than milk or juice.
What do I do in case of a dental emergency?
Signs of dental emergencies can be tooth pain, loss of teeth, facial swelling and blood in the mouth. In the case of dental emergencies, you should visit one of our dental locations as soon as possible. Dental emergencies are prioritized and patients are usually treated the same day. For life-threatening emergencies, please call 911.
How can I practice good oral hygiene at home?
Brushing twice a day, in the morning and at night, and flossing once a day will help keep your teeth and gums healthy.

Fluoride is a natural mineral that helps strengthen tooth enamel and prevent cavities. During a fluoride treatment, a concentrated form of fluoride is applied to your teeth—usually as a gel, foam, or varnish. It’s a quick, painless way to protect teeth, especially for children and anyone at higher risk of tooth decay.
